Top 3 knives under $50?

I'd have to go with the Kershaw Leek and Blur; they have many variants available within that price range. For a third, I would add a Spyderco Tenacious, or Delica, if you can find one of the occasional deals that puts it within that range.

Another vote for Ontario utilitac. Also, Kabar Dozier hunter, various. I am further smitten with the 'lowly' RJ Martin designed Kershaw Nerve. Great knife, around $20

Another for the Ka-Bar Dozier hunter series. I love them. Nice and light, almost feels cheap, but then the blade is so good. I have a blaze orange one thgat has stood up the test of time and work, and repeatedly reach for it over my heavier EDCs. Good choice.

1)CRKT Ken onion Ripple the chipper version 415 I think ( I have in acuto steel this one 401 and 405 around 70-80$, but if you go with partially serrated can get 63$
2) spyderco tenasious
3) cold steel spike
4)spyderco a lot - for example ladybug in super blue is 41$, sa;t series on amazon some of them under 50
5)esee uzula without kit can find 49, but Zancudo 46$
6)spyderco penknife UK 49.95$ - I love this knife - CST BD1 steel
7) condor knife and tools has a lot to choose - I have Dendritic Tactical Combat Knife 6" and Dendritic Tactical Combat Knife 8" - excellent daggers, good for through, and I think good for survive too
8)mora 17-45$ I use a lot
9)classic Ka-Bar smaller size is under 50$

Ontario RAT 1 and 2, Kershaw Nerve(I have it and it is a really well made knife for the money) and Spyderco Tenacious.

What's the intended use, and what size knife do you want? The Utilitac is an awesome beefy budget folder. If you want something small, the Kershaw Zing tanto is a freaking tactical scalpel but it's really small and not very tough. It is still a hell of a buy from Kershawguy.com for $35.

My Utilitac II on the other hand I'd go to war with.

Fixed blades:
Cold Steel GI Tanto
Mora anything
Cold Steel Outdoorsman Lite/Tanto Lite/Roach Belly/any of their budget blades

Folders:
Buck 110
Cold Steel Voyager
Opinel anything

Ontario Rat 1 and Rat 2
Spyderco Tenacious and Persistence

That's my top 4, and the Persistence is my favorite of the bunch. Honestly, it's one of my favorite knives at any price point. I used one very heavily for about a year, processing cardboard, cutting zip ties, cutting packing tape, cutting plastics, etc on a multiple times daily basis. It did everything I asked it to do and was capable of more. I finally retired it to a drawer yesterday when my lady got me a Manix 2 as a gift. Were it not for that, the Persistence would probably have stayed on me for years longer. Best $30 I ever spent.

Ontario Rat 1 or 2
Spyderco Delica (even slightly used if it puts it under $50)
Mora Companion

Ontario Rat 1 or 2, Delica, Utilitac 2, Blur. All are great value knives in my opinion.
