Top 3 purveyors.

I would first have to start out with George Harrison at Striaght River Knife. Not only is he a great dealer, but a very good friend, who will remain so for the rest of my life.
Les, Larry @ Bladeart, Patrick & Josh @ TAD, Jay and Karen @ AZCK. All I've had numerous, pleasurable dealings with, and will do so in the future as well.

Interesting thread. I usually don't deal with purveyors unless their names are Michael or Ed. ;)

Seriously, I have done business with a few and the one I would recommend is Larry at www.bladeart.com. Funny, a few folks have mentioned Les Robertson and I've always enjoyed his posts but had a peculiar experience with him in trying to purchase a knife.

I noticed now and then he would have a Carson BAK on his site. I wanted one and we had some correspondence back and forth through e-mail. He suggested that I fill out an order form on his site, (which I did), and not pay it, (his asking price), until he had another one. After the Blade Show he made a post that he had aquired a BAK at the show. I did not receive a notification from him that he now had an example, so went to his site and found out that he sold it for $50.00 more than his asking price. Hey! You gotta' make a living and I appreciate that but peculiar since I had one on order.

I'm not trying to slam Les here and I know many folks have had great dealings with him. Just wanted to relate my experience.

Hi Gene,

You are correct, you did order a BAK. Wish I could say that I was a record keeping Wiz. Occasionally I do have things slip through the cracks.

If you saw it on the site all you had to do was remind me.

As for the $500.00. That reflected Kit's new retail price for the knife. I wasn't trying to make an extra $50.

Sorry for the confusion.
