Top 5 Favorite Folders

I can't narrow my favorites down to five. But since you indicated "ish", I'll name my 5 most often used folders.

Spyderco Dragonfly G10
Case Peanut
Spyderco Gayle Bradley
Spyderco Centofante 3
Spyderco Paramilitary 2
(and a nod to the Spyderco Delica 4 that ties with the the last 3 knives on the list)

I do not own five folding knives now.

I have two models that I do use although I am carrying a BUCK Ranger Skinner fixed blade more now. I am really into fixed blades more now!

My folding and/or pocket knives would include my BUCK 110 (I have two of them - same year.) and one BUCK '55'.

I LIKED the looks of a few former knives of mine and my late husband's but I was NEVER a collector. I carried a couple of knives that my late husband and my MT husband gave me in folding knives.

Camillus - NY (Military)
Schrade - NY
Case
V. Swiss Army Knife

Out of all of those NICE, classic, famous, durable and pretty knives - I would still go to a single blade FOLDING or pocket knife!

And as I am heading into my 65th birthday this summer... I would say that I would go to a FIXED blade knife hands down!

So I sold about half of my collection in the past little while to raise some funds for a non knife related purchase and I'm down to 7 I think.

I have...

Blue cf domino
LG insingo 21 micarta
Xm 3.5 slicer
Clay 3 cf zdp 189
Spyderco R nishijin
Alan Davis cf and Damascus slip joint
Green micarta Lockback tidoute

On the hunt for the next one and found this thread. Trying to see if I can get it going again cuz I love to see people's top 5 folder choices.

Strider SNG DGG
Spyderco Domino blue CF
Spyderco PM2
Benchmade 940
Brous SSF CF

Benchmade mini grip/mini Ritter ( all 20+!!)
Benchmade 940-1
Benchmade mini barrage
Benchmade 531 & axis Stryker
Southern grind spider monkey

I know this thread is a few months old, but I'd love to see other peoples top 5!

These are my favorite 5 that I own:

Top is a custom from Jim Dunlap, and then it goes Rockstead Higo-X, André Thorburn L51, Umnumzaan, and a Sebenza 21.

Hmm
Emerson Horseman
Benchmade 551 Grip
Spyderco Karahawk
Vic Farmer
Emerson cqc7bw

Runner up-Spyderco h1 dragonfly.

That's out of the ones I own. I don't think I could narrow it to 5 I don't own!

My top 5 folders than I use:

GEC two-blade #42 (Missouri Trader)
ZT 0770 CF
Spyderco Native 5
Spydero Kiwi 4
Victorinox Adventurer (111 mm)

The most used knife of the bunch is the Vic SAK. Been warming up to the Kiwi 4 and like it a lot. The Native is my favorite Spydie overall and it just happened to be my very first Spydie years ago at Walmart. Like the Native 5 better. The Delica would be No. 6 in a list.

Griptillian
Vic Farmer
Vic one hand Trekker
Vic Tinker
Cold Steel Finn Wolff

Folding knives just aren't my thing, I carry one most days for convenience, but if I head out of the city limits I take a fixed blade.

Awesome, glad to see some more top fives. Thx for the pic blues brother, that's a nice bunch of knives.

My current favorites ZT0801BW, Strider SNG, Sebenza 21 Tanked, Startac, Sebenza 25

Similar thread going over at that green place -

Not necessarily in order:

Guardian Tactical Helix (carbon)
Spyderco Domino (the best knife you can buy for under $200. Period.)
Brous Blades Exo
ZT 0620CF/M390 (the best production Emerson ever made, and 10x better than anything Emerson ever produced themselves)
Microtech Socom Delta

Conspicuously and purposefully disqualified from my list is anything with a titanium-on-steel lockup. That includes CRK, Strider, Hinderer, et al. To design and produce what would otherwise be great knives with such poor execution of something so critical as the lock is unforgivable to me. (EDIT: Of course, your mileage may vary, "IMHO," caveat emptor)

I agree with you on the domino. I love mine and it's in my pocket right now. My mileage does vary on the TI frame locks tho. I've never had an issue.

Not my all time favorites, but these are the ones I've found myself carrying most often.
