The title says it all, what are the Top 5 OP2W offerings in your opinion? The ones that either got away, or are the ones you shouldve bought 10 of :D

So what do you say Hogs, with Operation Two Weeks, phase one, winding down, what took the title so far??

I'd have to say:

1. Urban Grudge LE: The more I see pics of this, the more I wish I had grabbed one. Clean lines, nice swedge, stabby tip, satin INFI.

2. Battle Saw: Maybe the one to become a Classic out of all of them, and the strippers are looking amazing.

3. SOS LE: ITS A FREAKING MINI INFIDU!!!!!! HOW DID I MISS THIS???????????

4. TRASH 2: Although I had to let mine go, I see this one as taking the cake as THE 'Camp knife' of the OP2W. It was beautifully balanced, nimble, and the 3/16" thick blade gave it quickness in hand and very nice geometry.

5. Although this hasn't shipped yet, I think the Huck Finn CG is going to be one of the nastiest Kukri to ever leave the shop.

Honorable mention: Hognose War Sword,, its a freaking 16" blade, war, sword... War. Sword.

Realize the title says released so far, But the Top 2 are the ones I purchased and can actually comment on! Almost all of my purchases came towards the end of O2W!!

Good call on your part! Seems like the first part was mostly familiar models released in sr101,, lots of satin INFI towards the end :thumbup:

I hope so, I was actually surprised how much I like the Grudge/Fudge's, But I absolutely Love them!!!

In my opinion (and not necessarily in order):

Battle Shark
Battle Saw
Battle Grade AK-47
Huck/Huck Fin
Urban Grudge/Fudge
 
1. Huck/Huck Fin. Corugated, Infi chopper. Enough said

2. ASH2. Perfect blend of knifey and choppy for a do-all woods blade.

3. Double Talon Battle Mistress. Perfect big carbon steel pig sticker. Jim Bowie would be proud.

4. AMS Ergo. About as perfect as a fixed blade EDC could ever hope to be.

5. Battle Saw. Not my style. Don't really mind that I don't have one, but enough people love it that it had to be on the list.

And though it wasn't anything really new or revolutionary, the BG Boss Jack is the one I find myself playing with the most. Absolutely love that blade. Urban Grudge. Didn't get one but the minute I held one, I knew I really messed up.

Great thread idea Rick!

  1. WTF - Nothing else out there quite like it. It's the poster child for what Busse represents, big, powerful, overbuilt fixed blades that are nearly indestructable. You can say what you want about the practicality of it, but this knife is a marvel for what it is.
  3. Battle Saw - Iconic knife with a saw on the spine, how cool is that? Very cool I say.
  5. Urban Fudge / Urban Grudge LE - Big improvements over the HG55 in ergonomics, with a very practical blade shape and design. Oh, and it's satin INFI!
  7. ASH-2 - An excellent all-around user with an INFI blade. I know it wasn't an official O2W offering, but the limited release of ASH-2's with a competition finish are really an unbelievably good knife.
  9. Hognose War Sword - I know that this one has not been released yet but I'm including it anyways. Also, it seems like there is not a whole lot of chatter about this knife, but there really should be! It's a Busse with a 16" blade for under $450. You could make a whole zombie slaying TV series focused around this knife, seriously it's a one handed sword / club. Time will tell, but this could be a knife for the ages.
 
Are we talking strictly new designs or all OP2W?

This is a tough one, I am a late bloomer to the Busse world but I believe I know for the most part which are new designs and which are remakes... But I am unclear on the ASH-2 if it is new or a remake... I am pretty sure it is new but can say with absolute confidence. For me there are plenty! but top 5... hmm...

2. Battle Saw
3. Urban Fudge <-- when I get the Urban Grudge LE from exchange I think this will move to #1
4. Son of Swat - don't have yet but have I been on the waiting list for a while
5. CG BB13 & BG BB13
6. Skinny BG FSH but I have not got my hands on one yet :(

I see several classics emerging from this group
Urban Grudge/Fudge, MSe, Battle Saw, BB13, SOS and maybe some more.

I won't be shocked if a Skinny INFI FSH shows up one day... I would be all over it!!! I love my HHFSH but after a while it is some heft on the hip.

There are so many and not enough money!!!!

Basic 13 and AK-47 for me. Also the Huck, Battle saw and Warsword. I wish I would of gotten in on those three.
