Top 5 things that keep me with Spyderco!!!

Not in any specific order.

1. Great product at a great price.
2. Great customer service(You go Danelle)
3. Variety(designs, materials etc...)
4. The Military
5. Danelle.

Told you I would post something nice.

Seriously, I have never received this quality of service from any dealer any where. Spyderco stands behind their products and will fix or replace them at no cost(within reason of course).
Danelle and others, I am sure, are more than willing to "Patiently" answer all questions even the stupid ones(yes there is such a thing as a stupid question) and make sure you are well informed. Not once have I felt bad about their service.
Danelle is even kind enough to kick you in the @$$ albeit with kindness when you are off track.

My thanks and appreciation to all in Golden.

The customer service and online presence is a just downright amazing. Discovering this forum and having Mr. Glesser answer my questions and Danelle help me out and send me goodies, it's amazing. Nobody can get everything perfect all of the time, but I see Spyderco coming close, and being willing to fix it when they miss; that's as much as a consumer could hope for. Spydercos have gone from a lot of the knives I want to the ONLY knives I want. I'm hooked

I love thicker blades and Spyderco makes them thick in all sizes.

One of my main things that keeps me with Spyderco is their willingness to explore a bit more boldly than other companies, new uncharted territories.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think Spyderco is the first company to produce an internet-collaboration knife where a collective online presence had control over the design of a knife.

Who knows what they'll do next? Neat thing is 'we' are usually in on it and get to provide serious input and many times start a dialog directly with Spyderco staff.

I personally like their smaller quantity larger variety methodology. What better way to appeal to almost everybody?

Thanks,
Ken

You're right, Ken. Sal's 'experiment' by moderating this forum is unlike anything for a CEO in the short-lived digital age.

He started with a first-rate company which he is positioning for the next decade with the aid of direct customer feedback. That takes a LOT of confidence in your product, quality control, customer service, and especially your business goals.

I'm sure he's soaking all this up for reference in future models, since he's the biggest knife nut of us all!

Keep up the great work, all of you at Golden, CO -- we truly appreciate your excellence.

Oh yeah, although I can't talk to her (I'm deaf), Danielle is certainly precious :-)

I'll also second that, wholeheartedly. I am still not completely sold on 'the spyderco look,' though I am coming around, but I cannot deny that Spyderco makes damn solid, well-designed knives, and they are VERY responsive to their customers and have great service.

This makes me want to buy from them, unlike other *cough* benchmade *cough* companies, which make comparable products, but do not seem nearly as innovative or as responsive to their clients.

When started purchasing knives, there were 90% BM. Lately, it has largely been SpyderCo. Not even a conscious decision. I like a knife, I buy it. "It" usually turns out to be SpyderCo. THe reasons:

1. I like the sharp edges and grind

2. I have come to like the "hole". It doesn't destroy my pocket seams.

3. I like the customer service I got.

4. I like the fact that Sal listens and interacts with us, the users (ELU's)

5. I like the fact that I there is a BLUE Native with blue clip because we asked for it.

Waiting for my Blue Natives, Moran and hoping to get a RL Military, MBCF and a larger Native. (Shameless plugging and begging of concepts.)

1. My experience with my zytel Enduras;
2. My experience with my Endura II;
3. My new serrated 440V Military;
4. Sal's presence in this forum; and,
5. Danelle's and Vince's, too...

Long live Spyderco!

I'm with you folks to. I started many moons ago with a Spydie Delica as my first "one-hander". Ultimately ended up with An Endura and another pair of each in the black coating once offered.

I was lured away by "higher end" stuff like the Elishewitz Omega, but with the Military model, I've come back home. It, a Sebenza, and an EDI Genesis are my one-hander carry pieces.

Now in addition to the BFC Native, I've purchased a Civilian. The Matriarch and Tie Clipit are said to be probably future offerings. Who knows what's next?

Thanks Sal, Danelle, Vince and all the rest of the gang in Golden!!

A Spyderco Mariner back in the early 80's was my first experience with this company's products. I too was lured away for awhile by the tactical voodoo, but ended up where I am now; more Spydercos than anything else.
The Moran, Military, Wegner, Endura, Delica; these are just too well made and thought out to pass by. Not to mention the people behind the product, a real class act!
Thanks, Sal, Danelle and Vince. And all the rest of the crew we never see or hear from.

Reasons that keep me with Spyderco:

1. Seki-Japan Production
2. Seki-Japan Production
3. Seki-Japan Production
4. Seki-Japan Production
5. Seki-Japan Production

We had a meeting the other day, and had to state what WE liked best about working at Spyderco. The responses were heartwarming. This really is THE place to be.
