By the by, the surgeon had to wait 3 days before he could do the first surgery on my leg. It was so swollen, they had to wait and see if amputation was indicated. When the surgeon was finally able to go in, he said that all of the bone shards had been put perfectly in place by the instructors' expert traction on the leg when in the mountains. Had the traction been done by anyone less capable and experienced, he would've had to amputate. Yes, I believe in God and I believe He saved my leg.
A pragmatic view is the best one, especially in a life or death situation.
The instructor and the doctor saved your leg. God had nothing to do with it.

The Cold Steel 5" Gunsite is great for the street price (should be able to get it for around $60). Very solid, great looking blade, light and functional handle and very sharp. But if you want a really awesome large folder at a great price, try a Cold Steel X2 or Grand Vaquero for around $60 each, if you shop around. If nothing else, they are great toys.

And speaking of big folders, here's the one I'm crazy about though it's in much higher price range:

Sorry for my english :o

Is it easy to open this knife in a hurry?
One thing I like a lot about the CRKT m16-14 is that I can "flick" it open with one hand really fast.

It is for me. I also have a CRKT. The AK you can just hold the button on the lock down like an Axis lock and wave it out.

It also has the catch on the back of the blade that will open if you mash down as you pull out of the pocket. Here's an example.
