Top Five EDC Folders?

1) SRM 763 (olive FRN)
2) SAK Rambler
3) Kershaw Scallion
4) Leatherman FUSE
5) Opinel N8 (carbon)

:)

1) CRK Sebenza (small or large reg. or insingo blade inlay or plain)
2) ZT 550
3) ZT 560
4) SAK Cadet
5) Opinel No. 6 or 7

I'll just give the names of 5 blades, no particular order:

a) Sanrenmu 763: seriously though, both the G10 version and the aluminum one are amazing at that price. Like a little folding izula, but sharper and slicyer imo.
b) Spydie Delica 4 FFG: Great blade again at that price. Don't really care for the plastic handles, but it's a simple yet working design with some good steel in there. Did I say how lightweight it was? Well, it is :-)
c) Opinel 6 or 7: Doesn't really need an explanation, does it?
d) Victorinox Cadet: Needs no explaining either.
e) Kershaw Skyline, Bladeforums edition: lightweight, s30v, nice colouration... What more would I want? :-)

2. CRK Lg Micarta Insingo Sebenza
3. Spyderco Military in CF/M390
4. ZT 0560 with a nice makeover

3) Benchmade mini-griptilian, sheepsfoot/spydie hole, n690 steel, green handles, all stainless hardware, low-rider clip from STR
4) Kershaw Cryo, stonewash/silver edition. unbelievable value. this knife fits right in with all the 3-figure price point blades I tend to use
5) ZT 0551, custom blue/black G10 scales.

5) is likely to be replaced for at least a while when the 0556 comes out.

Those are some interesting knives: I love to see pictures.

Ask and you shall recieve. But beware, my photography skills are meager with knives. I just don't have the knack for it.

1: Protech custom shop TR-3 Integrity. Ti handles with blue anodized accents. This knife convinced me that I just don't need a Sebenza.

2. Southern Grinds Bad Monkey. Picked this one up in the exchange not long after they came out. I just love it. The fit and finish is top notch and it's a big, light knife. And the Wave is nice. I'm also big on Sandvik. The fact that this is not my #1 is a testament to just how much I love that Protech.

3. Enzo Birk. This is the Scandi ground D2 model. Bolsterless carbon fiber. This knife was a grail of mine and took me 2 years to track down, there aren't really any dealers in the US, just a couple places that stock them infrequently. Worth the wait. I love this picture.

4. Sog Arcitech. I bought this knife to give Sog a second chance and I don't regret it. I also picked this one up used. The high polish blade shows every little mark, but the Arc lock on this rivals any Axis I've owned. Buttery smooth with 0 play in any direction. Polished ti, cf and even a touch of Abalone, who could ask for more? I also noticed I put the clip on the wrong side after I adjusted the tension.

5. Kershaw Groove. I received this as a bonus in a trade here on BF. He had no idea how long I had wanted one of these. I love RJ Martin's designs, maybe some day I'll own a real one.

You got some real nice blades. I was going to get the SOG in damascus, but read mixed reviews. Now I may re-look it.

Well thanks! I take that as pretty high praise after seeing your collection.

As far as the Arcitech goes, it really did surprise me. I was expecting it to be so-so but the quality and function ended up being pretty damn good. Some day I will send it out to have the blade satinized and the bolsters stone washed, when I get around to it. I may pick up a damascus model some day as well. I don't imagina it would show scratches as easy.

1. Spyderco sage 2
2. Benchmade model 32 morpho
3. Spyderco sage 4 (my dress knife)
4.benchmade mini onslaught shot show
5. zt 0550

I was mostly into Benchmades until I received my new Spyderco sages (1,2,3,4); I have to say that the sage 2 quickly became my fave edc knife. I love carrying my model 32 and didn't think I would find a folder that would give me as much enjoyment to carry until recently. I have since ordered a delica and dragonfly.

1. ZT 0560 (until it was stolen, waiting for my CF 110v one now)
2. Spyderco Military M390
3. Lone Wolf Paul Defender LE (my gentleman's knife)
4. Benchmade Contego
5. ZT 0551

1. William Henry B10 Gentac (TCD). Great Damascus blade. Present from my wife that convinced me to start buying higher end knives.

2. CRK Large Sebenza Insingo. Great blade shape and absolutely tough enough for anything reasonable. Also the newest addition to my collection. Only drawback is that it makes the wait for a 25 that much longer.

3. Benchmade 940. Classic BM EDC with the fabulous Axis lock. Liked the Rift better for a while but always seem to come back to this knife.

4. William Henry B10 Lancet (Cameroon). Love the wave Damascus blade. The clip case and lanyard really grew on me. Great for an office environment.

5. Spyderco Manix 2 - doesn't every top five list probably needs a Spydie?

Wenger sak ~ saw, scissors, corkscrew
gerber ar 3.0
buck 110
crkt m-16 spear point, semi-serrated
gerber fatty

my top 5 edc folders. hmm tought to say.

ZT 560 and 560 cbcf
Messerkönig Darkstalker minislim
Sebenza
Umnumzann
Microtech Ultratech D/E

Top five from my experiences (I am not a big folding knife fan):

Buck 277 (like a roll of quarters in the hand)
Buck 112 Ecolite (super light)
Buck 110 (any style)
Buck 181 Ecolite (solid edge)
(Yeah, I've had a few Buck knives in my life, mostly from happenstance)
Kershaw Blur (I needed a 5th, but the edge retention was solid, even though the knife was reliable at opening on its own)

Not a Buck fanboy, but I have been happy with them. I am waiting to receive an Opinel No. 9 (stainless), and may edit this later.

Of the ones I've handled or own, kershaw typically make knives that I like for overall design which is why you see quite a few of them on my list.

Ka-bar dozier
Kershaw Blur
Kershaw Cryo
CRKT Drifter
Kershaw Chill

1 Large Regular Sebenza
2 Ti Kershaw JYD
3 Kershaw Knockout
4 Mcusta MC-12
5 Sometimes an Endura G10, or a Spyderco PPT, will find it's way to my pocket.
