I agree. I baton through stuff like that all the time to no ill effects.
 
Haha, the best part of that video was how the BK-2 looks like it's done hardly any work. Those blades are friggin tanks!

Agreed. There are a lot of youtube experts with limited skills. Who then go and create a little intro with music to their channel.

That said, there are also a few really skilled guys on there. Lars Monsen (I think that's the name) is one,

Lars Monsen isn`t just another youtube guy. He's a fulltime outdoor professional who had several tv series in Norway and wrote a couple of books. He is just unknown throughout the world cause most people don't understand norwegian. ;) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lars_Monsen

Because sometimes people must do what they deem as necessary.

Responding to the OP and original post...

One thing I have seen, is that TOPS attracts people who will beat the snot out of a knife.

And TOPS knives have had the snot beat out of them, repeatedly, repeatedly... [And I repeated 'repeatedly' on purpose]

So, if there existed a systemic issue, we would have heard about it. And no such out-cry has risen.....

TOPS makes a fine knife, and tough. Find a model you like and use it.

I seriously doubt you will have a failure.

But, if lightning should somehow strike you, TOPS will take care of you, of that I am certain.

I have a H-572 that bent while prying pallets apart, it did not spring back. I re bent straight and have not used it as heavily since. Still holds an edge well though.

i have tried for the past three days to get that video to play but that swirly thing just spins and spins. all of his other videos play just fine:confused: i think TOPS sent out their net ninjas on that one.
 
still won't play:confused: i let the whole thing load this time. it has the triangle on the screen like it is paused but it won't let me switch to play. ghosts in the machine i tell ya
