wondering if anyone has one and could shade some light on how they hold up and what not?

Not sure what you plan on using it for, but for woods use it looks borderline useless to me. (Notice I said borderline folks;))

The top cutting edge would not allow you to use the spine to baton anything, and it's extremely thick at 1/4".

I have never used it however, and as far as the Tops name brand goes, many here praise them. Matter of taste really. Tops isn't mine.

Maybe because of its "fighting" pedigree. From what I've read and understand, the knife was designed by Jerry Van Cook; former cop, martial artist/tactical trainer and regular contributor for Tactial Knives mag.

I suppose the design leans more for SD carry and knife combatives (hence the top cutting-edge).
