I found one fo these at a good price. Does anyone have any experiences with this knife? I heard it was designed by Steve Dick of TK magazine, for woods travel.
There was a favorable review if the knife in TK Magazine a while back. However almost all knives are reviewed favorably there and if one of the contributors helped design it then I'd view the review with suspicion.
I've checked them out in person.. I really like the design, and ergo's.. Steve is very much a student of survival, and it shows in this design. Heat treated by Paul Bos its got it under the hood too Great all purpose cutter IMHO.
I had one for 2 years and it was great. Not to heavy and the blade is thin and wide which makes it a great slicer. I abused mine to heck and back and it never let me down. The only reason I don't still own it is....my brother needed a knife for the sandbox and he really liked it so I gave it to him. I will buy another if I can find one reasonable. Hope that helps...Jim
i have always liked the looks/design of the Pasayten.. i love the wide blade..
i might also have to pick one up someday.... they seem like great all around woods knives...
My guess would be the left one, but with some type of hat.
TOPS knives usually don't get my attention but the Pasayton does. I wouldn't mind putting one through its paces. I would say go for it, at worst you could prolly unload it to someone on the forum to get your money back.
