My husband said this is a beast of a knife. I guess it is. He used it on a weekend campout and split a six inch thick chunk of firewood with one whack. As you can see from the photos, some of the coating came off even though it was only used once. I've found this typical of the coated knives. In any case, it was only used one time and still has the factory edge and will cut paper. No box. The sheath is like new, and other than the coating so is the knife.
User's knife, not collector's knife.
