I saw an ad for this particular prefabricated kit in one of the more popular knives magazines the other day in Barnes & Noble. Has anyone had the chance to review the included tools and the quality of the package it comes in?

Thanks in advance for your help and opinions.

God bless.

Hi Wade,
I've never heard of it before but found this: http://www.gunsandhunting.com/survival.html among several other links when I Googled "TOPS Survival Neck Wallet". Looks like an interesting kit, I'll have to read up more on it when I get a chance.
Good luck though, I hope someone here has actually seen/used it first hand.
I'm sure you've probably Googled it yourself but wanted to chime in.
Cheers

Nigel

The July 2009 Tactical Knives has a review of the kit written by Garrett Lucas in their survival column.
I saw that article, and while I thought the idea had merit, I was totally unimpressed with the selection of "survival equipment" that was included. No blade? A 2-inch hacksaw? A frenshel lens? A screwdriver? No first aid supplies? :jerkit:

IMO the TOPS kit is a waste of money. You would be better off buying a neck wallet and putting together your own kit.

I already have several survival kits and bail-out bags established around my home, car, workplace, et cetera. I was only interested in the tools included within the Survival Wallet. While I realize it lacks many elemental pieces of survival equipment including a knife, medical supplies, water purification tools, and many other things, I was looking to supplement my current kit.

In terms of neck wallets, my current product of choice is that of the T.H.E. Neck Wallet from Spec-Ops Brand.

Thanks for the opinion and links once again.

Better to look at the one Breeden Knives had in his thread the other day, His Final Option Knife and the kit he shows is good to go IMO/E.
