TOPS Tex Creek XL vs ESEE 6 -- anyone handle both?

Hey all,

The title says it all: For those of you who've owned or spent some time with both, which do you prefer and why?

FYI, if I go with the ESEE, I'd probably buy the bare blade from TKC and pair it with their G10 scales. With the Tex Creek, I wonder if anyone sees the lack of a choil and the aggressive (at least looking) jimping as a detriment with finer tasks.

I own an ESEE 6 and my friend owns a Tx Crk. I have extensive uses with both. ESEE 6 is the winner just because of the handle... They both carve about the same and both sheaths are awesome. The 6s Handle is a little better though IMHO.
 
I was also looking for comparisons between the Tex Creek XL and the ESEE 6. And I was planning on the same thing - ie. buy the ESEE 6 blade and scales separately from TKC. But I do really like the XL and have read many good reviews about it. Decisions, Decisions!!!
