Good, bad ? What I have read on these folders have been good. Has anyone used or held one? I like Tops fix blades.

I own one I was trying sell to raise some dough. Now I don't need the dough so I don't need to sell it. That being said it is a stellar folder. Very well made, robust, lite wt to carry, and ingenious over travel stop built into the pocket clip. That way you can't spring the lock by unlocking and over traveling the frame lock. The blade steel is excellant. Kind of reminds me of BG42 in that it takes a super fine edge but doesn't lend itself to burring or raising a wire edge.

It is an open build design and the machining is impeccable both on the frame and the blade. The only draw back I see to the folder is the tip down carry. I don't mind it at all but I know folks here only like tip up for carry. Now I haven't used the snot out of this knife at all but have carried and used it as an edc exclusively for about 4-5 months. Had dalliances mind you with other folders but mostly carried the Thunder Hawke and found it to be just a very good edc. Anyways that my impression of it. keepem sharp

Thanks longbow. May have to buy one. Need to quit buying their fix blades!

Pocket clip is fixed, right hand tip down. I have had mine for almost a year and longbow covered all the good stuff very well. The only complaint I have about this blade is the clip. It can be difficult to remove from the pocket cause of the possition of the clip, the thumb ramp of the handle kinda sticks out and catches the corner of my front pocket. Also when putting the knife back in pocket the thumb stud tends to catch and starts to open the blade, not often but it happens. This knife is also very smooth, very much like my BM rukus. If you like their fixed blades you will love their folders, IMO best buy in a TI frame lock.

Thanks, for the pic's and info' on the clip.

Dang it, I want to try a folder with N690Co, but need a reversible clip!

I'am a lefty too its not that big a deal but I have also always carried in my right pocket. Its a great knife for the outdoors, amazing eurgo's despite the looks, makes fuzz sticks better than my millie, and the coating actually helps when cutting. N690co is like VG-10 that dosen't go dull so fast but sharpens just as easy.

It would also make one hell of a SD knife.
