Cooked some beans in the billy and had a cup of coffee.

Love the knife Brian. It is just the right weight for a necker. Some Becker head kept putting that BK-9 in my picture.

If you are wanting a necker I think you will like this one. Thanks for the reply's .

It's one the list of small knives I'd like to get. Thanks for the review.

Thanks Hawkeye. I'm really glad you're liking the knife. It should make a good companion for that BK-9 of yours.

I received my Tops Tibo yesterday and love the way it feels in my hand and weight as a necker. I'm very disappointed with the edge that came on the knife. Needed to spend all day sharping. Love the style of the knife but if this is the factory edge this will be the only Tops for me.

TOPS factory edges tend to be pretty obtuse but once you thin them out they're great.

Thanks, glad you like the design. I'm not sure what's up there, I would have had to see it, but I have handled five of them so far, and though they weren't exactly hair popping sharp it only took a few minutes with a diamond and ceramic stone to make them shaving sharp. If one had been as bad as that sounds I would have mentioned that to someone at TOPS.

That jimping is a good idea for a small skeleton knife, wish my izula had that.
I have three Izulas and they all have jimping on them. Did they do away with jimping on the newer ones or something??

Anyway, I'm not a big fan of Tops knives and that Tibo looks like too much handle and not enough blade. I'll stick with Izulas and Swamp Wardens for my neckers. Glad its working out for the OP though. Real nice job on those tinder curls too.

I think ESEE's jimping is perfect. Just enough to be effective without causing hot spots on an ungloved hand during extended use.

Really? I guess it's just a matter of opinion, I've found the jimping to be abrasive in extended use w/out gloves, but not fine enough to provide good traction. (Pretty much the opposite of what you said.)
TOPS' jimping is also abrasive in extended use, but it's aggressive enough to at least provide good short-term traction. (IMO, of course.)
