Tormek Sharpening System

i use belts for some and stones for high end kitchen and razor sharpening

the most of my kitchen blades are belt sharpened to 9 micron less asked for the hand treatment (many of my buyers prefer to hone there way a new knife )

I have had mine for almost 3 years and I can would not now attempt sharpening any other way. It was a frustrating experience with my belt sander and then I transitioned to paper wheels. The Tormek sharpening system is an amazing tool.

Note: Not a lot of support here on this sharpening system, but I believe it is because of the cost. I have also read that the sharpening area is weaker because it has a hollow grind, verses a flat grind. But the difference here is so small...I do not believe it.

Just my thoughts... Dennis

I have a T7 too, great for putting an edge on anything. I strongly dig that system.

By the way, the concaveness of the edge is so little which is practically non existent. Sharpness I get from the Tormek system is top, and I could even do some skandi, even if that grind begins to show some (very very small) signs of being concave. But not enough that it would make for a less robust edge really.
