Tormek Style Sharpener's Limitation?

Interesting observation that makes a lot of sense when you stop and think about it. Thank you for sharing!

So guys, I think the "hollow ground secondary bevel" is extremely negligible.. Correct me if I'm wrong, but this is what it looks like up close.

No ... for the most part the radius of curvature is so large relative to the width of the primary grind that for all intents and purposes it looks flat.

A combination of this jig modification and the handle raise method has gotten me pretty damn close! Results are better than I was getting with my belt sander free-hand.
