Torn between several folders, please help me decide

I have been searching for my next couple of folders and have it narrowed down to several different knives. Below are the ones I am thinking of listed in order of the price I expect to pay for them.

I wondered if people wouldn't mind weighing in on the top two they would pick? Depending on which ones I pick, I will order one to three of them.

Comat Elite RRF
Fallkniven PXL
ZT 0303
Hogue EX-01
Spyderco Military
Junkyard Dog II
Fox Predator 2

The RRF seems like a nice knife and a good size but the most costly. The Fallkniven seems like a beast but also a very high quality knife (too bid for EDC?). The ZT has been on my list forever, but over 8 oz is huge, the Houge is getting great reviews and the millie is really well liked as well. I have always thought the JYDII is a cool looking knife and the Fox isn't too expensive and I like the OD handle/black blade option.

I would be cycling these through EDC, taking on hunting trips, and weekend carry in cargo pants.

The RRF is about $100 more than the next most expensive (PXL) which is about $40 more than the ZT and $80 more than the Hogue or millie. The JYD and Fox are quite bit less than the rest.

Which two or three would you chose...or is there one or two you would stay away from?

I have a ZT and yes its a little heavy, but its rock solid and feels great in the hand. I dont think you would be disappointed with it.

Fallkniven PXL.

I own and EDC this knife, it is a very high quality knife with excellent fit and finish. In answer to the OP regarding size, this knife could be too large for EDC in certain situations. It is heavy in the pocket, but not bad if you use the clip. In an office or other "urban" type work place it could cause uneasiness among non-knife folk due to it's size. I work in an industrial type work environment and have never had concerns expressed by co-workers or others.

I can't compare it to, or comment on, the others because I have no hands on experience with them.

i have a spyderco military and i like it, but im right handed and the blade is tip down carry and ive had it open in my pocket, so i dont carry it anymore but its great steel; ive even had it cut the g-10 handle.

Thanks for the feedback so far. It sounds like there are fans of the ZT and the PXL. Both would be great weekend carry and hunting/woods knives. I work in an office on a daily basis. Even though I usually wear jeans, I would probably need something a bit tamer for office carry.

That is why I was thinking about getting one of the big folders (ZT or PXL) and one of the smaller ones (hogue, maybe spyderco para military-or Sage 2). For days that I want something larger than the ladybug.

If you go with the Hogue get the 4". It's a better knife than the 3.5 in several ways for me. Mainly the grip ergos and balance though. Apart from that, the 4" G-Mascus is one of my favorite folders.

That's what I noticed from some of the reviews-the 4" seemed to be nearly universally preferred.

Good strategy

Right now I am leaning towards the ZT, the Hogue, and the JYD. Although, the Sage 2 would be a good compliment to the mix as well.

A buddy of mine is going to get the millie, so I might just check his out.

The PXL is an awesome knife. It has great fit and finish and was one of the sharpest knives from the factory I've ever received. IMO, it is not too big for an edc, but then again I like bigger knives. The ZT is also an excellent knife and is probably flatter than the PXL.

i would recommend the military, its big but light, its very reliable, easy to open and close, easy to carry, and the price is very good for what you get.

Thanks for all of the feedback thus far. Right now I have it narrowed down and am thinking about getting three knives at once:
1) Either the PXL or the ZT
2) The Hogue 4"
3) Either the Sage 2 or the paramilitary
