Around 4 or 5 days ago, there was a tornado spotted about 10 miles east of where I live. Then, 2 nights ago there were several tornadoes in the area. We didn't get one here in town, but the sirens were going off like crazy, and there was one 10 miles south of me that destroyed homes. The same storm did rip through here though. She was a doozy. I could barely open up the front door, the wind was so strong. Worst we got was that the internet was down for day and a half, thank God.

That was a big weather system. We're 250 miles from you and got it too. Lost some shingles, one shutter and the neighbor lost half his barn roof. It blew most of the water out of my pond and the fish were hanging on to the grass with their mouths to keep from blowing away. (That last part could be ambien related, I'm not sure)

I lived in TX for 16 years, right in Tornado Alley. I hated Spring. Glad you are okay.
Thanks Tom.

It was a huge system. Would have loved to see the fish hanging on for dear life. Photos? :D

Dude, I hope you're okay and stay okay through tornado season. All that happens here is some bicycles falling over down in the yard.

rofl, that was hilarious.. !!!!

I actually like storms it kinda puts you in check you know, things in perspective.. Of course its sad when property and lives are lost I don't care for that part, but I do enjoy a good storm..

I'm actually the same way, I like storms, just not when people/damage occurs.

Man, I also hate it when people occur. Especially if they're Jehova's Witnesses and they occur Sunday morning at 0900 :D

i'd just go out there and wave my bk9 around and tell the tornado to get lost :)

We finally got all the fish raked back into what was left of the pond. Hope that doesn't happen again. They looked stressed out.

Happy that you and your's are safe. That's all that really counts in life right?

Texas Born. Texas raised. till i was 7. Good thing the worst i got was a tornado watch, and it came and left real quick. heard those sirens too. ran with a mattress to the tub, threw it over my body. (no basements in texas, soil moves too much) it's scary when it's night time. don't know where that sucker is coming from. glad you're alright.

Had them again last night here. House right up the road completely destroyed, thankfully the family wasn't home. Lot's of damage all around us.

We heard it and went to the basement, but it was raining too hard to actually see it. Sounded like forty freight trains. My neighbor saw it, said when it came over us it hadn't come all the way to the ground. It touched down about half a mile from us got a house and barn. It wasn't on the ground very long but raised hell while it was.

A train sound is always what they say, and they are correct. I saw a tornado 2 blocks in front of me one time. I'll never forget that sound, or the sight of it.
