Can’t quite figure this one out. Maybe as a sapling it was bent over, the original trunk turned itself into a root and a branch became the new trunk?

This one is different. The roots are apparently following the bricks. It’s crazy how they grow back into each other

I’m not sure what to think of this one. I can’t believe those are its roots. Still its very cool

This is the crooked forest in Poland, 400 Scots pines apparently they were manipulated to grow like this for furniture making. Planted in the 1930’s and abandoned after ww2

I don’t like the term and hate to think of it as a “tortured” tree. I’d rather think of the process as “training” or “guiding”. But that’s just me. . .

We had a vine plant at my office that grew through the windows of several model cars, up the wall, it was crazy how it adapted.
