Torx drivers?

A lot of people around here recommend Wiha. On that recommendation, I bought them myself. German brand, I think.

Wiha is a great brand, but for me, the Husky #74501 precision screwdriver set from Home Depot is adequate. Make sure you buy two of each, for knives & tools that have a screw on each side.

Another Wiha user here.. I have tried all and they seem to fit the best.. Nice and tight in the Torx head bolts.. Just sayin.. John

That Husky set is a combo phillips and and slotted screwdriver set..

I think he needs a Torx set of screwdrivers..Wiha is very popular.

I use an old Craftsman set. Might be time to upgrade after a few decades of use...... these Wiha tools look reliable.

Oops - you are correct. Thanks for the correction. The correct # for the torx driver is #74502. When I bought mine maybe 7 years ago, they both came as a set, so I thought #74501 was the number for both.

ETA: By the way, when the Husky's finally wear out, I'll probably replace them with the Wiha's. Wiha is one fo the most popular brands on a tool forum I'm on.

Wiha sets the standard. PB Swiss sets the bar (with a concomitant premium in price).

Benchmade sells torx sets on their website, plus you can get a cheapo set like mine from Auto Zone for 10 bucks.

I know it sounds strange but the husky tools work really well for me. Somehow the small torx and small screwdriver tools seem better than the bigger tools husky makes.

I have a T3-T10 8-piece set from Wiha, worth every penny IMO as i've never had a torx screw fail to be unscrewed with this set, the grip and the quality are fantastic.

After twisting countless bits from husky into steel twizzlers i switched to wiha and havent looked back. Even wihas chinese bits are above average in fit and function. I havent killed a screw since the switch. Husky are fine if you are in a jam. But i think aside from a decent fit the rest of the tool is junk.

Same here Purp! Do not waste the money on those Husky sets. I destroyed a bunch of screws with it.
Got a set of Wiha, not expensive at all, and haven't had an issue since.
Great tools!
Joe

I have a couple of Picquic drivers and like them a lot, I'm surprised I don't see them in the knife world very often.
