Torx Head Screws, Good or Bad?

Quality and so forth being equal, I prefer torx over allen head. Philips aren't in the same league.
 
I should mention that many of the fasteners themselves are also either badly sized or soft, or both. You can't get CNC quality on these little parts. :(
 
Torx are better than the alternatives. There are still knives that are riveted together. If someone is that against Torx fasteners they can search out knives that don't use them. But if a knife is to be screwed together, then Torx is the best option even if they aren't perfect. But if you use a quality driver, push down so the driver doesn't twist out, and deal with loc tite when present, there shouldn't be many problems with using Torx fasteners.
