Torx Wrench for Manix

Enough with the Home Depot! Go to Lowe's and get the Kobalt brand Torx kit. It is 6 bucks and all the bits are stored inside the aluminum handle when not in use. No rubber bands needed.

I got the Husky at Home Depot and looked at the one from Lowe's (the Kobalt).
Had to hunt for it as it was buried behind the regular bit set ones.

Looked like the Husky and I thought it was the same manufacturer with a different brand name. Now I'll have to go get it too (the Husky has a plastic handle).

Thanks for the tip! ;)

I purchased the Kobalt torx kit at Lowes last Saturday, and I can honestly say I'm not impressed. Two of the bits were rusty where they slide into the black plastic holder in the handle (right out of the sealed package). The bits don't fit very snug into the tool tip. One of the bits falls out easily if you wiggle handle even just a little. The most ridiculous design flaw in the tool is the rubber grip at the front of the handle. It isn't glued or attached to the handle in any way. Unfortunately this allows the grip to spin around the handle when you're attempting to loosen a stubborn screw. Do product designers actually ever use the tools they design?!?!?

I own the screwdriver version of the Home Depot Husky kit. It looks just like the Husky torx kit. The handle is one solid hexagonal piece (no slipping rubber grip). The bits snap solidly into the tool tip and don't fall out. Best of all no rust! The only drawback is that you have to store one bit in the tool tip because all four don't fit in the handle. They snap in tight so it shouldn't be a problem. The handle may not be grippy rubber and cool looking blue aluminum, but it works better overall as a tool should.

Sorry about such a long post for such a simple subject.
