This is my second attempt on this Hossom inspired fighter, the Tosa. Jerry gave me some good input on my handles from the first one and I hope you guys can tell a difference. The blade is much better in my opinion. The grind line is very high and I maintained a good edge thickness thoughout the blade. The length is 12 1/4" overall with a 6" cutting edge. I made the choil bigger on this one too, so you can choke up on the blade and use your index finger there for fine cutting tasks. The blade is CPM 154 with a satin finish and the scales are black linen micarta. 0.180" thick at the ricasso. And of course the tang is tapered. This one balances perfectly on the forefinger. Weight is 11 ounces.

First though for those of you who have never seen a Tosa, here is a beautiful female

Now for the Tosa fighter.

Very nice form, and an aggressive look to it.

The knife is cool too;)

The subtle recurve has always been appealing to me, nice work.

You did an awesome job!! That design is a gem. I love the lines and the contours of the handle. Real protector/collector there.

Beautiful knife! I really like the way this one flows. The handle looks very comfy too.

Cool looking dog, never heard of a Tosa before, Japanese fighting dog, huh?

First off, wonderful dog. Hate to be on the wrong side of her.

The knive is very well done, can see the Hossom influence (not a bad thing in my book).

Great grind lines and love the handle. Good job.

Great looking knife.

The Tosa, or Tosa Inu, is about as fearsome a dog as exists. It can defeat any of the other tough breeds one on one: Fila Brasiliero, Presa Canario, or any of the mastiffs. It has even been known to kill fighting pitbull varieties inside the ring. No two-legged opponent would fare any better. They are a force with which to be reckoned.

Great looking knife. I think it is great that you get input from Hossom. I can see the influence on that knife.

Wow!!!!!! That is super nice and quite a different grind than what I remember you doing a little over year ago! You were obviously listening very carefully when Mr. Hossom was giving you advice.:D
