• Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I hope that you all have something to be grateful for this year and for many years to come
  • America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.

Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!

TOTALLY off topic, climbing Mt St Helens

Quite an adventure, Nick.

Cutting a rock with that little knife you carried
would have made this thread suitable for the BF.... :)

All the best,
David Darom (ddd)

Cool. I've done it a couple times (+ 1 we had to abort), but always in the snow. This is me and a buddy in 2002:

Behind us is Mount Baker (I'm in orange, I'm fatter now....)

COOL Nick. I've never been to that part of the world.

How far is the hike to get to the summit?

Peter

It's kind of a relief to know that you're letting yourself go, Nicky... I no longer feel I need to keep up my svelte physique to keep you noticing me.

What the heck a beautiful girl like that is doing with your dumpy ass, I'll never understand.

Great pics of your expedition, btw... I'd love to see that area one day. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks guys... it's definitely worth the effort.

Our fastest time up was about 4 hours 45 minutes, slowest was 6.5 hours, every time it was right around 2.5-3 hours to get back down.

Oh Matt, my friend, don't ease up too much. I'm back down 20 pounds and getting stronger than I've ever been. That was just sort of a summer-time "let it all hang out, over indulge, and don't work-out" sort of thing :D

I'm completely back on track these days :)
