I really like them as well.

I especially have a soft spot for the little all stainless lock backs, like the Buck 'Gent'.

Getting pretty hard to find an example of these knives made in the USA - Than goodness for Spyderco keeping them alive. Other makers only offer an occasional example.

Fraid that may not be totally true. Most if not all of the Spydies listed here are made in Japan.

I believe that most of the Kershaw Ken Onion designs such as the Leek, Chive, Shallot and Scallion are available as all SS knives and are still made in the USA. I have a SS Shallot as well as SS Chive (3) and Leek knives. Also a SS frame Damascus blade Shallot is on the way.

How about posting some photos?

never liked them after just holding them, but I was given one as a groomsman gift, Byrd Cara Cara 2 I believe, and liked it a lot. good heft, a little "cold"feeling compared to Ti, but not bad. scratches up easy but gives character.

I love the aesthetics of all stainless knives and they really accentuate modern design lines while giving off "industrial" or "utility" vibes (knives as tools). I don't think they necessarily work on traditional shapes that well and the other issue is..... you really don't want to pick one up with bare hands that's been sitting in the window on a sunny day.

I really like stainless steel; both as a material for blades and also as a handle material. From posts I've read here at Blade Forums, there doesn't seem to be too much enthusiasm for this style of cutlery. I've read remarks that say a totally stainless knife lacks character and warmth. Personally, I look for those traits in people not inanimate objects, so maybe that's why I've always liked this style of knife. Anyway, the point of this thread is to serve as a place for these knives to be appreciated. Hopefully you'll show yours here too.
Its not that SS is not appreciated. Humble SS has perfermed well for generations of outdoorsmen.
In later years some knifesteel snobs tend to scoff at SS. That dont mean, that SS dont work well.
SS as have been used for a long time in generic SS knives are fairly easy to sharpen and holds an adequate edge for most.
I like it just fine. SS and most other types of knife materials too for that matter. BETA titanium, Suminagashi, W2, D2, 1095 etc. Im a huge fan of those three and use them more than 440, I must admit.
I know, that Im in the minority in regards to titanium, as most believe it cant be sharpened and cant hold an edge. How ever, few manufacturers use BETA titanium. My knives are BETA and they hold and edge just fine for zipping through several deer in one outing without sharpening.

Stainless!? You cant handle stainless!!
:D
BETA titanium family. MPS, MBK, MPU. True stainless knives as opposed to so called 'stainless steel,' which in reality are more 'stain resistant' than impervious to the elements as the titatnium knives are.

MPU

Though I like that the Titanium knives are truly impervious to the elements and truly stainless when kayaking in salt water or zipping through deer for days on end in a wet forrest, I dont discriminate:rolleyes:
Rob Scheppmann D2, Lars laminated carbon Bushcraft knife, Suminagashi Mule.

M9

Buckmaster

Not too big a fan of the stainless knives..... except for Entreks! I really like Entrek knives and they hold a great edge
ENTREKS rock! I want the Badger but really cant justify buying it, as I have that one covered ...
(since when did there need to be a valid reason for buying another knife though....:))

I got two I'll post pics of in a little bit! Gonna have to wait till tomorrow to get decent pics, but don't worry..... I always come through when it comes to my knives ;D.

My very first good folder that I still have was the Spyderco Native II C42 that I got in August 2000. Made in Seki City, Japan with Stainless Steel handles and AUS-10 blade steel.
