I just got off the phone with my daughter (20), She is a freshman in college and has an assignment to write a paper about someone she admires with an interesting career. I’m not sure what class it is for yet, but she chose "me" to write about, and wanted to know if I would be willing to help. I said sure!

It’s the little things like this that make it all worth while! :)

Life is sweet!

The only thing that could make that more cool is if her Dad is a spy or test pilot or something ;)

Cool! Your "job" might leave those pointy headed academics a bit confused. You are an artist who lives the bohemian lifestyle and yet you make sharp pointy things that can cut people.:D

Keeps us centered, don't it....

Just wait till you have grandkids..!

Wow your daugter is 20 she respects And likes you. Thats awsome. You should be proud. I have no kids but I am sure being a great parent is harder than being a great knife maker. It is also a better achievement.

Do we get to read the paper when she is done? :)

Melts the heart! You must have done a great job with your daughter for her to think of you :D

This is just like that ad out for dairy queen, except it would be hard for everybody else to follow after a blade artist!

Tai, count your blessings, my friend-------the talent shown in everything you do, the intelligence to put it to good use, ability to garner friendship, and the love of a daughter. I would say you are a 'lucky" man except for the fact that 'luck' played no part in what you have achieved.

Tai,

That's great! Of course, we all already admire you and your most excellent and interesting career...and your exceptionally beautiful knives. Now we admire your daughter too! Says a lot about her.

There's something just irresistible about knives. When I told my step daughter I was going to try my hand at making knives, she asked if I'd make one for her. Boy, that raised my bars for my expectations for my work. Now it'll have to look good enough to be carried in her purse. Maybe someday...

I'm with Steelshaper, would love it if your daughter and you were willing to share her paper with us when its done. Give her our good wishes.

Thanks for sharing the sweeet news!

All the best, Phil
