how/where can i get/make a touchmark?...my tools at this point are limited. any and all suggestions will be appreciated

Henry Evers Corp. in Rhode Island. I don't have the contact info in front of me, but if you do a web search, you should find them. I have had stamps from several different companies, but their's is the best, longest lasting ones I have used.

A touchmark is a blacksmith's trademark, kind of like a japanese swordmakers Mei. There is a semioffical registery of them somewhere, but I can't remember where right offhand.

Go to www.keenjunk.com e-mail Grant Sarver he posts there all the time. He makes touchmarks with a handle. I made a small anvil rom an old hand stamp, but I think any piece of tool steel you have will probably work. I laid out the design and cut the excess away with a dremel. Some letters can be stamped into the touchmark and come out raised on the piece to be stamped, C for example. You can also buy reverse letter stamps from MCS, Wholesale Tool etc. P.S. anneal the tool steel before stamping into it, then harden.

thank you all for your responses....
I'm sory about the confusion, I forgot that i've spent more time in the blacksmithing rather than specific bladesmithing....which hasn't been long for either thanks again
