Do I need to register my touchmark? If so, how should I go about doing ao?

No, unless registering a trademark for a large business, you don't register a makers mark.

There is no official registry of makers marks, but some folks have tried to put ones together. There is a thread currently running in Shop Talk requesting marks and info.
