Tough fellow. Not too prepared, though ...

hey now, be nice. :grumpy: The man fell when the trail he was surveying (for a new road) slumped and he fell almost 300 feet down the steep slope, separating him from any supplies he might have had. He got disorientated from the fall and went the wrong way.

it could happen to any of us.

77!?! He definitely loves life and nature. And maybe pain. I hope I'm as ballsy at 77, that's IF I make it to 77. Did anyone notice he's freakin' 77!?!?!?!

I think the remarks have all been in good spirit, and I did mention that I'm glad that everything turned out for the best. We are all just in awe of someone who has taken (and keeps taking) that many knocks over the course of his (clearly very interesting) life.

All the best,

- Mike

yea i know, i came off a little harsh there, my apologies. This incident hits close to home for me, as he is well known in my circle of prospector friends, and he is normally always prepped for the woods.

I am going to drop him a line and recomend he carry a belt PSK kit in the event he is ever seperated from his truck or base camp.
