Tough shotgun finishes?

When I said spray and bake, I was trying to refer to the standard finish that you get on the remington express. I thought that is the process. It's obviously not blued or parkerized.

The standard finish for an 870 Express is a bead-blasted bluing, and well-known for rusting very easily.

Cerakote is the way to go....here is an example of what can be done. With Cerakote you don't have to worry about oiling the exterior. Just use it and clean the action. Professional results done by professionals.

that is a 590a1, right? did you put that on top of a park'd finish? Did you do it yourself? Is that the air dry or ovencure kind?

It is a 590, I media blasted it with 120 grit aluminum oxide to remove the Rustoleum that the previous owner added to it, I did it myself and it is oven cured Cerakote H Series.
