Tough Spyderco Recommendation

I'm interested in getting a tough folder. Prefer G10 handles and a stout blade with a length between 3 and 4 inches. I don't think I would want the Chinook (yet), and I already have the Paramiltary, which I love. I'm considering the Lum Tanto and would like your opinions on that knife and any others you would recommend. Thanks.

Look for a Terzuola/ Spyderco StarMate C55. I must say that I love mine and most everyone else that I have ever heard on the subject love their's. It is discontinued, but they do turn up from time to time, so keep a lookout for one. I am certain that you'll love is as much as the rest of us.
 
Hi Rick:

I'd agree with the Gunting; or a Yojimbo if you're looking for the thicker short-blade on a long handle (3mm vs. 4mm). You might also consider the Lil' Temperance, if you're looking for a bit wider blade and stouter handle, but still a compact package. If 1mm difference in blade thickness is not an issue, and you want a low-print carry try the SS-ATR (Ti handle is fine too, but a bit thicker package).

If you love the Paramilitary I think you may like the Lil'T too. Same compression lock, full flat grind, S30V steel... yet different.
 
I vote for a Wegner. Don't even know if they still make it or if it's the same, but that's a GREAT knife. Sharp as all get out and built like a tank.

Thanks for the replies everyone. I'm not that familier with the Starmate or the Wegner. I've certainly heard of them but never seen one. Could someone give me a little backgound on these two? They are both discontinued, right? Thanks again.

Everything they're saying about the Wegner is true. E-mail me if you'd like some great pics. I've got a new one if you like it.
 
If you allready have a Para, i'd recommend a ChinookII. I love this Folder.
The little Temperance must be very good also because i use the fixed brother EDC and i am very satisfied.
