Tough Spyderco Recommendation

Lil'T.

Hold one and see. It's truly a tank among folders and much underrated.

Jsun is right - hold or use one and you'll be hooked. It just feels RIGHT in the hand. Very useful blade shape (with the leaf blade), and with the S30V relatively easy to sharpen. My first choice when I want a heavier duty EDC. I'll still occasionally carry the AR, but the Lil' T is a LOT more sheeple-friendly...

gg :D

I too vote for the Gunting. It is so tough it is considered a badge for toughies! :D ;)

Frankly, it is one hunk of a knife!

Thanks everybody for the input. It seems a lot of you like the Gunting. It is a great knife, but one that seems like it is best carried in a sheath. I don't want to have to do that. I also know the Lil Temp gets great reviews but I have narrowed my choice down to the Starmate or Wegner, maybe both. I like the look of both knives, the great reviews I've read and since both are discontinued, I thought I might want to get those first. I've also heard something about a new Lil Temp. I'll wait to see what the new one is like. Thanks again. BTW, does the want or need for these Spydero knives ever stop? I love these things.

IIRC the new Lil Temp is going to be FRN with a wire clip.Downgrades IMO.

Some of my buddies that carry big knives every day swear by the Wegner ... Check it out ... I think you'll like it. You can't go wrong by the Starmate or the Military either ....

get the Gunting, it's a hefty well made piece and it fills the hand like no other Spydie.. The Yojimbo would lose it's tip too fast when used as a utility knife.

Unfortunately the Gunting is not an option for those of us that prefer plainedge.
