toughest folder?

Sebenza is not really overpriced considering their consistent impeccable quality...so thats a good choice. But I still baby mine.

Striders I'd say are overpriced but they're tough. Emerson CQC-14 is less than 3in by a lot and very tough. Emerson and Strider both make titanium framelocks.

I have not seen a tougher folder than the CS Ultimate Hunter. BTW, there are a lot of darned old Buck 110's around.

If I may, I'm looking for something non-tactical. The Sebbies catch my eye, but are a bit expensive. Still, I'll consider one. Much of the others look very tactical...

i have a ZT on the way to me now. from what others have said, and my trust in Kershaw, it might fit the bill. though it is a BIG knife. 3" blade i think i read

My vote would be for the Ontario Hossom Retribution I or II. Both of these knives are built incredibly tough, hold an edge extremely well and fit your hand like a glove. These knives are very much like a Titanium frame lock but with thick Micrata slabs on the sides to better fit your hand.

I really like my new large classic sebenza. I used it yesterday to free MY ENTIRE car from 1 inch of ice. I worked quite well as an ice pick!
good luck on your quest,
Brett

Oh man, it's been an amazing couple days. Over 1/2 million people here in OK are without power. I just got power back this afternoon and had been out since sunday afternoon.

The sebbie really was a great tool.

Take care,
Brett
