Original recipe INFI is damn tough, but who knows what it was.
I chopped at the bottom of a fencepost trying to dig it out for quite a while, then found out it was countersunk in concrete. :/ Didn’t do much to the edge at all.

I’m not sure either, sir. But I have used original INFI, current INFI, and M-INFI.
The old INFI is by far the toughest of the three in my personal experience. M-INFI would be next toughest. It tends to roll and deform instead of chipping. Current INFI would be dead last IMO. It seems to chip out easier than the other two.
Could be the difference in the formulation, could be a difference in the heat treatment. I don’t really know. All I can tell you for sure is that in my own experience old INFI is damn tough steel.
