My maker's mark is divots in a certain pattern. First I stick a piece of tape to the ricasso, then I draw my mark with a sharpie.


Then I punch in the divots with a punch and hammer.


Remove the tape, and voila!

With hand sanding, I have started usting this LED hand-held light, to detect scratches.

I guess I'll just keep this going as a WIP thread. The next step for this one is to take a finer cut file, and start draw filing on the bevels:
