I'm assuming you've seen one...4" blade, tanto style... mine has a low grind and is coated, with black scales and a lined thong whole. I've seen one with a bead blast blade, and white micarta. It also had a different type of pins (larger). It also had a higher grind.I guess his grind had evolved/changed over time. Being a chisel grind it takes a razor edge. For me it would be a breeze to sharpen. So far all I've had to do is touch it up with a steel.
It is a solid knife. It has a good heft to it.Feels good and solid in either a foward or reverse grip. It's not likely to slip out of your hand.It is not a neck knife, tho it is concealable. It disapears when worn in a coats inside pocket sheath. I had to adapt another part for that kind of carry. I didn't get the full sheath when I bought mine on ebay...I should contact Trace for a new one.
If I want to carry a fixed blade, this is the one I reach for.
