I'm sure this has been done before
front loading,,,
My customer wanted a sheath that the teeth wouldn't be
cutting the leather out of. so this is what I came up with,,
I'm not to sure about the art work though :barf:
tell me what you all think..

I like it a lot, Dan. Came out very nice, and cool design job! The carving has a very organic look to it, like it grew there.

Damn Dan - Thats what I need but with a pocket on the front. As you can see the teeth do grab the leather sheath of you dont watch it. I am careful with mine but it still grabs.

I keep mine wiped down with oil ....regularly ;)

I like it also Dan! It's heavy but not bulky, the craftsmanship is your normal superb and the design is very good.
Kinda like putting spike heels on Rosie, but to each his own :footinmou

haha OK as she's not on my back with them

Brian
that's the problem with these, those Teeth ..

with this Sheath the spine/ tip is covered up to the teeth with welt
and that part holds the tip in place, and the Teeth can't cut anything.
, the welt contours with the hook and
holds the knife so it can't pull up.
and the strap holds it all in place and tightens the leather on the flats. :)

Thanks Guys

Sorry for going off on a bit of a tangent here, but Bloody Hell! Those teeth look fantastic! blgoode, How hard is that to do?

Dan, I really like that work, too! Not many of us ( I can't) do the leather work. Your package really looks good and is still heavy duty, too. You good, Dan.

Looking good Dan, sure wish I had the patience for leather work, don't know how you guys do it.

To help to bring this thread back to the original topic, Wow! Dan, that is a great looking sheath. What a great idea to keep the teeth from hurting the leather. I just might be shooting you a email about making one for me, but a lefty model. :D
