Knife Knuts..

This am I recieved this email from Dan..

Ren,

I would like to apologize to you for this whole incident on the Case knife. You
didn't deserve the kind of treatment I gave you in the original email.

I've been working the equivalent of three jobs the last couple months and I was
very tired when I composed the inflamatory email. That's also why I was unable
to send the knife back immediately. I literally had to sneak out of the
building while the managers were in a meeting to get the knife sent in the time
frame that I did. But really no excuse is adequate.

I expect no quarter to be given.

Take Care,

Dan

I have always believed that a sign of a real man is his ability to apologize and seek forgiveness when he has wronged someone. I want this forum to know that TrackerDan has shown very good form in doing so. I also want this forum to know that I also accept Dans apology. I too am sorry this incident was so unfortunate for both parties but this email above shows that real men can admit the error of thier ways and that in the process of doing so that reconciliation is far better than conflict.

Thanks Dan..I appreciate your efforts..

This is a very positive model of communication. I don't think we can over do demonstrations of tolerance of differences, patience, and compassion on public forums. Being a real man, or real person, imho, includes showing pathways for younger generations to follow. Hats off to both of you, and thanks for sharing.

Too bad Dan got rep smacked into oblivion though, others dealing with him in the future might wonder about that :(

This is good news!!

This is one of the reason I really like bladeforums. 99% of the folks here are real professionals. Glad everything worked out.

Good to hear, anyway of getting Dans rep points at least back to 0.

Was he lying about scratches across the face of the blade, or was it scratched?

This is good news ... Dan has been here quite awhile .... Sounds like he had a bad day ...

I'm glad this is done.
