I was fascinated with the Tracker movie knife and made several versions of my own design. I watched a couple of YouTube video reviews of the TOPS Tracker and incorporated some improvements made by the reviewers. First I chose 3/16 inch thick 1095 (TOPS uses 1/4") which lightened and better balance the knife. This provided a strong but lighter blade that makes for good chopping, cutting and the knife easier to carry. Several of the reviewers said the location of the half round fell on the chopping sweet spot and reduced the effectiveness to chop. So the blade was lengthened slightly to move the natural chopping sweet spot forward. This custom Tracker incorporates a saw back with aggressive teeth which makes it a great notching tool.
The brown heavy 8/9 ounce leather sheath is set up for scout carry and conventional horizontal knife carry.

Specs:

Blade is 3/16 inch thick 1095 high carbon steel differentially heat treated with edge hardness of ~60 Rc.

Handle is Cocobolo scales with black spacers bolted on the knife's full tang with loveless bolts and epoxy.

Blade Length (tip to wooden scale) is 7 inches, the front edge is flat ground.

Draw Knife Length is 2 inches thinly ground. Forward and to tip is flat ground .

Saw back length 3.75 inches

Overall Length is 12.3 inches

My "Hard Edge Knives" logo on is on the spine of the knife.
