Hi,

I was getting things organized to ship some knives tomorrow, Friday being the day I trek into town for shipping.

I was looking for a Colonial Hunter that is being shipped out tomorrow, but when I found it, I realized that I actually have one more that I have finished up, and this is the last of the knives made from the cast blanks, as I have no more castings. If I were to make another one of these, forged, it would be much more expensive. So, if you have seen the previous two being sold, and have thought... "I would love to have one of those...", this is your moment.

This knife is 12 inches overall, with 6 inch blade, and is approximately 1/8th inch thick.

The Colonial Hunter is investment cast 1084, with a stained hardwood tool handle, rifle barrel style bolster, forged file texture, and my darkened finish.

For awhile, sometimes back, I had a couple items cast for me, this was back in the days of the big interest in cast tools, like Boye was doing with his dendritic 440C.

So, the knife starts as a casting, then I do clean up, I harden the knife, temper the knife, lathe the handle, and assemble and finish the knife.

The mold was made from a knife I hand forged from a rasp. The bolster was an old gun barrel

I have sold quite a number of these, and the response has been quite positive.

SOLD

I prefer to receive correspondence at trackersforge at gmail dot com.

Thank you,
Bob

Mr. Alderman, could you tell me how much you charge for a Spanish-style knife like the one at very left in the picture? (The one with the oval brass plaque inlaid in the grip and the contoured bolster made of a horshoe rasp?) Always loved the "Belduque" style knives!
