Tracking wheels for a 1" wide sander

I want to make myself a 1x72 sander for some of my knife tasks(I already have a 2x72) but I have had a lot of trouble "tracking" down a tracking wheel that is meant for this size belt. So what could I do? Would a Beaumont kmg tracking wheel work for the smaller belt?
Thanks Fellas

There is a video on youtube of Mike Snody running a 1/16" wide belt on one of his 2x72 grinders.

Why in the world would you want to spend money on building a 1x72 grinder if you already have a 2x72? As already suggested, take your belts, split them in half, and run them on your 2x72. Easy cheesy, with no additional money spent. I do it all the time, particularly when roughing in handles.

Assuming you still want to build the grinder, I found a tensioning/tracking wheel assembly for a 1" belt grinder build (that I really need to find time to finish up...) on Ebay. There were a fair number of belt sander/grinder parts listed. And yes, a 2" wide wheel will work to track a 1" wide belt, but the crown will need to be centered to the other wheels, which means offsetting the 2" wide wheel 1/2" somehow if the other wheels are only 1" wide
