TrackNumber6 - Be Cautious

Got a response from “tracknumber6” on a the for sale by individual page. He said email him at “2019travato59k@gmail.com”. Later posted on a Trade post I have telling me to email “wanderingwheelz@yahoo.com”. Not saying he is doing anything wrong, but that’s just a little suspicious. Kind of a red flag for what many are use to.

I spoke with the individual over email from the first interaction. He said was fairly rude. He gave unsolicited advice in a not so professional manner. I matched his type of response and it turned into him calling me “soft” and talking down for little no reason. Not that that has anything to do with him being sketchy, but just a lot of red flags for the individual.

By no means am I saying not to do any deal with this person, but use your best judgment and be cautious.

I get that. A deal didn’t work in his favor, so the individual responded to another one of my posts with a different email. That throws me off. I have multiple emails but I use the same emails for the same task/website. I use 1 emails for knife stuff.
 
I can't see a user name trackingnumber6 either with the search or by using the @ prefix. Anyone?

If something you observe makes you feel uncomfortable, by all means go with your gut. Especially if it’s someone with a short history on the forums, with little or no feedback. I’m not privy to the exact communications you exchanged, but if I received an email from a member wanting to possibly conduct a transaction with me. If that communication was rude or disrespectful and unprovoked. I wouldn’t care about how many emails they were using, I wouldn’t have any interest in a purchase,sale, or trade with them.

You posted two different ways. One in the sale section and another in the trade section.

I’m unsure why you feel harmed that I replied to each. I even gave you my eBay handle and asked you to message me there to help you feel better (one inquiry I made on my email I use for eBay and the other was my “junk” email I use for special offers, discount codes or whatever else I feel like I’ll be spammed in my other email accounts). I have a 20+ year track record there with 100% positive feedback- and many of you here will know how hard it is to have no neutral or negative feedback over hundreds or even thousands of sales.

I explained all of this in a completely credible manner after you started to lose your cool.

I don’t encounter too many people who use multiple different emails and try to make deals like that. It’s common for people who make accounts trying to scam people by impersonating and using multiple forms of contact that aren’t related. I can say I’m whoever to trick someone.

It’s too bad you ended up feeling the way you did.

If this is somehow supposed to make me look bad, I’m afraid I just don’t see it.
