This axe is made more in the historically traditional trade axe design. The head is 5 1/2" long with a 2 7/8" wide cutting edge. Forged welded from 1065 with a cutting bit of Aldo's 1095fg. Edge hardened and tempered. Filework on the spine and belly, etched to an aged patina. The haft is really nice figured birds eye maple. Finding the wood for the haft was no easy thing.. Stained with aqua fortis and rubbed with boiled linseed oil. The sheath is a baldric or "over the shoulder" style sheath. Made from 9oz leather and hand sewn. We are asking **SPF** plus $10 shipping (priority with conformation) We take paypal or money orders. Paypal address is phllpwest@bellsouth.net
thanks

That's some of the most beautiful wood I've ever seen on a haft, I'm not even sure I could bring myself to use it. Great work!!!!

For anyone on the fence, the work from Wolf Creek Forge (aka Kentucky) has displaced every other chopping tool in my collection.
