I acquired this magnificent trade bead necklace from Charlie waynorth waynorth a while back. Needless to say it took something very special to get him to part with it. I am offering it for what I feel that particular knife might sell for today.
A little backstory. Three years ago I remarried after being single for nearly 40 years. I was very lucky to find this woman, but as a bonus she had two sons. The younger one who is turning 12 this week has given this old man a booster shot of youth. I will use the funds from this sale to celebrate with him. That is the only reason the necklace is available. It’s hard to describe what it feels like to be a dad again after all these years but suffice it to say it’s a love that only God could have granted me. Here is an opportunity to own a very special piece from an icon of Bladeforums and at the same time know that you have helped me celebrate the birthday of a young man who means the world to me.
It is $350 PPFF knives not included-$300 9B09A7A4-5CFF-45AF-9C88-0257C0D7DD84.jpeg

The Red glass beads are called "whitehearts" (a white core is visible) And the blues are called Russians or Cobalts, but these 7-facet ones were most likely Venetian. They were both used in the early Fur Trade, (think Hudson's Bay Co.) and are old!! The bone beads are modern, replicating those used by many First Nations!
Coast Salish artifacts in our local Museum of Anthropology inspired me to make that pattern!
May it bring you and your son Joy, Alan!!:)

Charlie, thank you. I have worn the necklace with pride on many occasions. It is only for sale to celebrate Jake's birthday. Memories with him take precedence over material possessions no matter their meaning and emotional value.
