Trade Esee 5 for 2021 limited edition 124

So i swapped a guy my Esee 5 for a Limited edition 124 from 2021 with Ebony scales. Was this a bad trade? thank

I was beating myself up a bit over it but i've always felt something special when I Held a 124. I was a bit concerned about the hollow grind chipping but i guess this blade can really do it all as well

I've got an Esee wish list of my own.

The 124 is a great knife.
I wouldn't think the Ebony handled one would be a user for most folks.
More power to you if you decide to tho....

I think the 5160 124 would be an awesome user as well.
And mine sits unused in the display case.....

They really did it back in the day. With the caveat that the hammer blow had to be true. Obviously its not a hardened bolt.

Even though I have no doubt the knife could handle it, I don’t know if my hammer blow would be true. No I didn’t try it.

The 124 is really a great knife. Easy to carry a joy to use. The hollow grind will put up with a lot of abuse.

I just wanted it stitched together he finished the edges and brought it to another level.
