Just bought a custom bow so these are going to end up just sitting around. For consideration is a very nice #65@28 62"amo, left-hand Martin Hatfield take-down Recurve bow. Excellent condition, a few minor scuffs, almost not worth mentioning. Limbs are straight and no holes drilled in the riser. Didn't shoot it much, simply because I got such a deal I figured to work up to a 65# (70# at my draw length). But when I did shoot it.. DAMN! She hits hard with a flat trajectory, plenty quiet and almost no, if any, hand shock. Pretty much everything you could want in a bow except the cams. If you're wondering what kind of game it'll take, Fred Bear shot a #70 recurve at an Alaskan Grizzly in one of his many videos. One shot! (Well, he missed the first one completely but a couple hours later he made it right).
Next is a less than perfect #60 Martin Hatfield which I got for working up to #65. Same spec, 62"amo and the limbs are interchangeable with the first. The riser on this one has some twist in it and the limbs aren't perfect but she shoots. I contacted the "Bow Hospital" and the gentleman there said he could fix it for not that much money which I considered but would rather put the cash towards my custom.
If there's any interest I'll snap some pics and send them along.
These bows went for $600 new but aren't fetching quite that much since they discontinued them recently. I'd like to trade one or both of them (depending on value) for a nice chef's or fillet knife. I'd also go for something in the Busse, Scrapyard family.
Thanks for your time..
