Got a 'Catch & Release' Strider Pair. As per usual, the photos (taken 12-1-12) tell the tale...sorry, don't have my usual naturally lit photos, weather has been a bit uncooperative lately.
First Up, the Big Brother, SMF. Black G10/Flamed Ti/Camo S30V Blade. Solid lock-up, no play. I'm not fully up to speed on new vs. old lockup, but I think this is the newer design with a slightly curved interface. Lock up is about 50%. Blade is slightly off-center, but not hitting either side if that matters much to ya. I'm not the original owner but the person I got them from (a fellow forum member here), said he got them new at knife show and they were safe queens. This SMF appears unused, with purhaps a little storage/fondling wear, a light scuff or three. Again, not much as the pictures show.
Next Up, the little brother, the SNG. It is a Coyote Tan G10/Flame Ti/Camo blade. The material isn't listed on the blade, believe it is also S30V. Again, believe this is the newer lockup, not 100% sure. But it is 100% solid with no play. Locks up at about 60%. Blade is also a bit off-center if that matters to ya, not rubbing either side. Got it along with the SMF. This one shows a little more storage/fondling wear, might have been test driven in a pocket, but again not much at all as the photos show.
I'm gonna start these out at $775 shipped/insured/tracking number to your door. TRADE PENDING
And per as per usual, I'd offer a 24 hr. non-use/no-modification/alteration inspection period.:thumbup:
Trade wise, I am mainly hoping to score an original run Busse Team Gemini or NMSFNO. I continue to be on the hunt for a 'tribute' knife for my 4 legged hiking buddy, so 'Muddy' flavored one would be very cool. Might also consider some other muddy mid-sized Busses... Leather sheaths included would be nice but not a deal breaker.
I *might* also consider other quality trades. Higher quality folders (Hinderer, Umnumzaan, Lionsteel, Emerson), decent fixed blades NWA, AA Forge, etc etc etc. A Strider GG or MT or MTL with gunner grips or perhaps a Knife Research Legion might also of interest.
Gear wise, I'd be interested in quality packs (Maxpedition, etc), Surefire lights (X3/400), maybe some Crimson Trace 220 Grips, etc.
Will mix/match/combine for the right deal. Some $$ might have to change hands based on what ya got. Will also entertain multi-way trades if all parties have good positive feedback.
Feel free to make reasonable offers...the worst I can do is say no thanks, but I'm !not! really looking for multiple lower value knives or generics (Spyderco, Benchmades, etc).
Any trade offer must be in excellent++/LNIB condition. **If you've done any home mods, I'm probably not interested.**
Requirement: Any traded knife mailed to me must be PROPERLY packaged. That means a proper-sized BOX, bubble wrap, and packing materials. I'm getting tired of receiving high dollar knives with what appears to be a grand total of about 15 seconds of packing effort
