Busse “Huck Fin” khukri with Infi and rare bronze finish
I just got this in a trade, but it’s too gorgeous to use.
It’s a Busse Huck Fin khukri with a rare bronze finish. The steel is Infi. The blade is 12 inches long, 3 inches wide and 0.25 inches thick. I’m not sure what the handle material is. The blade has Busse’s Corrugated Bevel Technology.
The “fin” on the top front of the blade is semi-sharpened and designed to improve penetration. The OAL is 18.75 inches. The blade is heat treated to 58-60 Rc. It weighs 2 pounds.
Price is $575 all in.
I pay PP fees, domestic shipping and insurance. I think this is a pretty good price. The bronze models sell for more. The base price from Busse was $647. It’s now discontinued. At Arizona Custom Knives, a regular Huck Fin sold for $745 and a bronze-finished model sold for $845. On Ebay, regular models are listed for well over $1,000. On the forum (thank you to people kind enough to their fellow members to leave up the price) they seem to run in the $500-plus range. I don’t see many with the bronze finish.
First unconditional “I’ll take it” in this thread gets it, if followed by a prompt PayPal. Off-thread sales OK, as long as someone hasn’t posted an “I’ll take it” before I can mark it sold. Will consider trades for Busse Infi knives in the 5-inch range, especially with satin finishes.
