What happens in the "Krein re-grind" ? Did you consider the blade grind too thick and then had Tom thin it out from Scandi line to the edge ? And i cannot see a secondary bevel so is this now a true Scandi grind to zero ?
Spring on the Forest Jack is known to be a nail breaker on many of them. How easy/hard is it to open blade using only the nail nick ?
thanks, kj

The regrind was done before I got it. I do not know why it was done. I assume to make it a better slicer.

I'm not sure about it being a true Scandi grind to zero. My eyes are not up to the task. If there is a secondary bevel it's pretty small.

I can open it using just the nail nick. I sort of pull the blade out slightly using the nick and then pinch grip the blade to go the rest of the way. The main issue with using the nick the entire way seems to be the half stop. That is where I tend to break a nail, when it stops suddenly.
